How can I cut a video on Windows Movie Maker?

How do i cut a video in half while using Windows Live Movie Maker?

  • I post youtube videos and my limit is 15 min. I set a timer each video but this time it didn't start and now i have a 28 min video and i need to cut it in half!

  • Answer:

Load the video into Windows Live Movie Maker (just drag & drop). Place the marker at the half way point (or anywhere else) on the timeline. Go to "Edit" at the top of the page and select "Split" The movie will be cut in half where ever the marker was. Now "Right Click" the portion you want to discard, scroll down and select "Remove" Then save the new, shorter movie in the best format.

split a 28 min long video into two parts then upload onto youtube, that's easy, windows live movie maker isn't a better choice(wmm only support few special profile and format video), you can simply follow me to use Youtube Movie Maker to help you, run this program, select "upload videos", then add your 28 min long video into this program, then right click the video and select "Split video into parts", then input 14 min as duration for each parts, at last press "Convert&Upload" button, the program will auto split this 28 min long video to two 14 min parts, then upload onto youtube quickly. you also can use this program to edit/make and upload youtube videos from various videos, pics, audios, musics, texts, lyrics, etc. you can download it from makeyoutubevideo.com, hope it can help you.
