Before you do that ask yourself if it makes sense.... verify you can get part for the car in Israel. Taking a car to a foreign country isn't always just a matter of what forms do you need to fill out and what documents do you have to have... its also making sure you can get the parts you need to maintain the vehicle where you will be and even that the gas will work in the car properly Gas isn't universal... Not only can the octane rating vary from country to country as low as 70 in China to 98 in Europe.. but also the lead and sulfur content can vary from country to country. Realize that an American car was made to run on 87 octane fuel with lead content of less than 0.01 grams per gallon... it can be as high as 1.5 grams per gallon in other countries. The catalytic converter will clog and the car will not run if you run gas with too much lead in it, likewise the engines ignition systems is designed for a particular octane, give it the wrong one and you could damage the engine. In short, you may very well find that it is more sensible to sell your car and buy one when you get there that was made for that particular country.
