What would you put together for a SQ system?

What exhaust system should I put on my 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab?

  • I want my truck to rumble and sound good. I'm not exactly sure what to put on there. and I'd also like to listen to the exhaust system on a truck just like mine before I buy. Any websites of where I can do that? And what suggestions of what I should put on there? Thanks

    I have an 06 with the 5.3L, and a single side-exit Magnaflow Catback... Sounds good IMO, be careful with Blowmasters because I've heard of pre-mature rotting issues with them. If you go with the Flowmasters, be sure to get the stainless.

I think Magnaflow and Flowmaster both have sound bites on their website. Youtube has plenty of exhaust clips.

until about a week ago i recommended magnaflows to everyone that asked.. but after hearing a friends vette with dynomax's new VT series mufflers i just can't recommend magnaflow to anyone anymore.. the new VT series mufflers sound great and have that "panty dropper" effect

What motor you have? If it's the V-6 then give it up. No exhaust system will make a 6 sound good no matter what someone may tell you. Actually only a V-8 will have that deep rumble we all love so much. Not a V-10. Not a V-12. Only the V-8. Oops...got off track. I have an '04 extended cab Silverado with a V-8 and had a simple glas-pac installed with dual tail pipes and sounds good. However if I did it again I'd go with the Flowmaster. Their website has sound bites of all their mufflers so go there and listen.
