How do I remove the old stereo in a 2001 Chevy cavalier to install a new stereo?

  • How do I remove the old stereo in a 2001 Chevy cavalier to install a new stereo? I also want to install a CB radio as well but I don't know how to remove the old stereo. Please help.

pull face trim off. get 8 mm socket to remove screws, remove radio. Go to your local radio store and buy installation kit and harness. Follow instructions and your done. CB radio find place to locate and follow instructions. 1 wire to ground 1 wire to battery voltage and 1 wire to ignition key voltage and 1 wire for the antenna.

Get the stereo technician install the new one, he must remove it old one first .
