How much would a new suspension and new tires cost?

If I put a 2in. lift on the front suspension, would I need to put an extra 1in. suspension on the rear?

  • I own a 2010 Chevy Avalanche with stock rims and tires, and I was looking forward to putting a new set of rims and tires. I'm considering to level out the truck and give more clearance from the ground also but not to much just only 2-3 inches more. How much should this cost me along with labor? Whats the exact difference to a body lift and suspension lift? Whats the largest tire size I can fit without trimming? / Will this tire size affect me in making hard turns?

  • Answer:

With labor your looking at around 500 for a leveling kit installed. A body lift puts spacers between the body and the frame to give more clearance for bigger tires. While suspension lifts raise the entire vehicle higher. Suspensions lifts are better performance wise, but if its only for looks and to fit the bigger tires a body lift is fine. Tire size really depends on the size rim you have right now but a 285 is the widest to not have any affect in turning.
