How can I remove a bumper cover from a Chevy Malibu?

How can I remove the interior cover to the sun roof in my '99 Chevy Malibu?

• I couldn't resist the charm of a very sleek gold Malibu sport edition, complete with sunroof, so I bought it, eager to brag to my friends about my find. Since the overly priced motor to the sun roof died, I no longer get to use the feature. I'm tired of hearing the rattling of the classy, plastic sliding door that hides the sun roof when not in use. I've tried before to remove the plasic covering, only to get it jammed, off track. Although the rattling did stop while jammed, my OCD kicked in when the sunroof was showing, partially. Bottom line, how do I get the freaking plastic door off of my interior ceiling of my lame azz car? It's a pain in the butt to drive over a speed bump at mock 10 or to run down a homeless man just to get my sun roof cover to un-jam. Last time, the guy's cart scratched my front bumper.

• Answer:

  Most of those sunroof shades have to be removed through the sunroof opening. You have to remove the sunroof glass from the top & then you can pull the shade out through the opening of the sunroof. Thats the only way it comes out.
