How much horsepower does this truck have?

  • its a 6.6 duramax. its triple chipped one is a bully dog chip.its straight piped and has a turbocharger. its my friends truck and he says its got 1300 horsepower. do you think it really does and if not then how much do you think it has?

    Given the fact that you didn't mention anything about increased fuel supply, upgraded fuel injectors, a bigger aftermarket turbo or a reinforced engine, probably ~450hp, maybe 800 ft/lbs of torque. Without significant fueling mods, an upgraded turbo and bigger injectors you can throw all the electronic tomfoolery you want at what basically sounds like a stock motor and it won't make 1300hp, no matter how hard you wish.

all diesel trucks have a turbo, i think 1300 is stretching it a bit, With out internal up grades the motor will blow apart, I would say maybe 600 hp
