HOW TO PUT VIDS BACK ON TO MY FLIP CAM?

What kind of cam should i put on a 305?

• i want something that sounds nice at idle but also packs a punch.the 305 is from a 78 el camino im going to put a 355 soon but rite now i want to put a cam on it my question is what kind of cam should i put?

  I woul d go with a edelbrock performer cam remember when dealing with cams there isnt much more cam available for a stock engine you can really only upgrade to what is called a RV cam which will add a bit of power,a higher lift cam allows more air/fuel to be taken in over a longer period of time as well as more exaust out for a longer period of time that is called the lift and duration of a cam you need larger better flowing intake system and larger better flowing exaust for the cam to do its job then more air and fuel means better ignition system to ensure a complete burn and stronger rotating assembly for encreased strain...if you just want just a bit more power and torque and a nice idle for now i would really reccomend just changing your rocker arms from 1.5 to 1.6 ratio rockers it dose the same thing as a slightly larger cam and is much cheaper and easier than a cam swap.( trust me I have done this for a good friend of mine in his truck))
