Where should one put a large Gantt chart in a project report?

How to put column and scatter chart on same x-axis in Excel?

  • I'm having some trouble with Excel: I need to plot a scatter chart and column chart on one graph. Both the column chart and scatter chart correspond to dates on the x-axis. They each have different y-axis values, and so are aligned with different axes. For some reason, my column chart does not line up properly with the x-axis, and dates are way off. However, when I switch the column chart to a scatter chart, it lines up perfectly (meaning I don't think the problem lies in the data I've entered). Has anyone experienced this problem before/does anyone very advanced in Excel want to help me work on this problem by email? I've brought this problem to my university's Excel teacher and he couldn't figure it out (this is for an independent research project, not for an assignment). Also, please let me know if you need me to clarify anything. Thank you!

You'll likely find the answer here: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/ComboCharts.html Seems you might have to tweak one of the charts' axis source data.
