Here are some things you can do in your BitTorrent client that might speed it up: -Enable DHT. This allows peers who aren't specified in that tracker to be used. Basically it can get you more peers. -Disable forced encryption (if it is currently on). Although forced encryption gives you more security, only some clients support encryption so you will only be able to connect to some peers. -Increase your speed limit and maximum number of peer connections. -Check the number of seeders. If there are few seeders or a lot more leechers than seeders then try using a different torrent with the same thing. -Switch to Linux. Windows limits the maximum number of simultaneous connections to 10, so you can only effectively download from 10 peers at once. They do this to prevent worms from spreading too fast (although the actual motive is to reduce the effectiveness of BitTorrent in a futile attempt to reduce piracy). Linux (and maybe Mac) doesn't have a connection limit. -Shut down or pause other running torrents, especially ones that you are just seeding and that you don't need running all the time. -Use a public tracker instead of a private one. Although private trackers are safer, public trackers typically have more seeders because of the increased availability. -Disable any proxies you might be using. I would only recommend this as a last resort, because it severely reduces your security, but it should speed the download up considerably. -To speed it up in the long run, you might want to buy a seedbox. A seedbox is a server you rent that will download torrents for you, providing both extreme security and very good download speeds (if you get a good one). As soon as it finishes, it will send the file to your computer using FTP.

Have you checked the number of seeders? The less the seeders, the slower the download, and vice versa. When looking for torrents, try to find the ones with a good number of seeders and a low number of leechers. Or the problem could be your internet connection. If this is the case, it may be time for you to upgrade to a speedier net connection.
