Well you are right.. i may be biased but it dont amtter if the Camaro might not take the turns as well it can pull out of them much faster plus with a LT1 is much better motor than the VTECH so don't worry you 're car is much faster and better looking with that nice ram air hood. BTW what color is it and is it a stick EDIT: only way a honda can beat a Camaro is but putting a blower or turbo and it wouldnt be stock so if this expiriment was equal you would shred the tires with a turbo or supercharged Camaro trust me i know someone with a WS6 supercharged cranking 550hp and hits 60 in 3.9 secs its scary fast...

hmm a lil 1.6L 4 cyl;, or a powerful 5.7 350 lt1 Personally i think the camaro would win no matter what, they both have good aerodynamics, a 5.7 will kill a 1.6L AMERICAN MUSCLE FOR LIFE!!!!!!

Of course the camaro will whip his butt. You've got and LT1 305 Horses stock and 17" wheels on the ground with the ss package. It doesn't matter what sort of Honda it is. The raw power of the Camaro will bend an Import over and spank it into submission. He has got a ricer and most of them will boast and boast there soda sized motors until they are dry-mouthed, but in the end the displacement breaks the bank in these turn-of-the-century pony cars. In the honda, depending on the engine, that car only measured up to 158 HP. Even with heavy modifications there is no way it could measure up. Oh, and the main time that having a stick or automatic makes a difference is when you have closely matched cars. An automatic SS will have no trouble skipping through the gears like a toddler in the park. The honda, making its engine's way up to the rev limiter at 5,000 rpms, lol, will never have a chance, regardless.

ok here is the run down. you have a V8 under your hood. he has a 4 banger. you have about two and a half more HP than him. if your going down a windy road corse, you just have to take it easy dont floor it or you will spin out thats the only way he will take you. make sure you hit your shifts right you got 6 gears so just use all of them if your on the highway he only has 4 , but other than that he will never beat you. ever!!! hope i get best answer

if the twisties are tight enough (rt 16 in va or is it rt 80? one has a section that covers 8 miles through the mountains but is almost 20 miles of road) he might win b/c his chassis and handling are better, BUT if there is any place for you to lay your power on the ground, all he'll see is tailights.

on a windy road the honda may win ahha. well cause especially the civic... si... its like light as hell lol and a 91.. they weighed like 5 pounds back then haha and your camaro is probably a lot of heavier. but still you'l beat that japanese thing in a striaght line :}

I don't think because the camaro ss is an auto and the crx si is a stick makes a difference. That camaro is just so much more powerful. The gears in the auto camaro are probably better anyway.
