Bmw 318i se over heating?

  • my bmw 318i se mk 4 has over heating problems, firstly i had the expansion tank cap changed as seals had gone, new top hose to expansion tank replaced, new thermostat, that cured it the first time for a month or so now i am loosing water very fast found a hose at the back of the engine had split causing water to spray out have replaced that but i can only drive about a mile or so and have to stop as over heating, when i stop i undo bleed valve to release pressure before i can top up with water again, can any one help as this is becoming a nightmare now !

after carefully reading this question i am forced to conclude that your radiator has had it and you need a new one. you say mark 4 so im assuming thats and E46. Take it to you local BMW dealer and ask them to fully check your cooling system.
