How To Make An Adoptable Website?

How to make a free website?

  • now by free i don't mean to have a website like 'WWW.(insertname).zoomshare.com' or something along those lines, I'm hoping for [.net] or [.org] my friend is a rapper and hes looking to make a website. he asked me for help or for any suggestions and i said ill look into it. now I'm trying to make a decent website. if i can make something fancy using flash or just plain HTML then fine by me, I'm just trying to make an appealing an creative website that'll attract people. any ideas and/or any programs i can use? if i have to pay for a program that'll make a website quite fancy and attractive, i hope its a good investment because i don't want to buy something and realize later i could have done it for free. thanks in advance. I'm not going to add anything to the website, I'm just going to make something random and show it to him. and if he has any ideas to add to the website, then ill be working on it until the website design is finished. once the design is finished, that's when ill incorporate what pictures or other things he'll want to show.

  • Answer:

Wix.com isnt too hard to use and has alot of customization. There are redirect options if you find a good place to make a website but the url is something long and not easy to remember you can go to dot.tk and setup a redirect so instead of www.mywebsite.websitecreator.com/mywebsi… to insertnamehere.tk

you are asking incorrectly your question. you said "free website" but what you mean is "free hosting and a free domain" There a lot of free hosting services. Free hosting means, server that holds your files and charge nothing for it. but, things like 'WWW.(insertname).zoomshare.com' is a company giving subdomains for free. A domain is like: domain.com or domain.net (or .org, .gov, etc) YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR DOMAINS. a domain owner has the right to have unlimited subdomains. subdomain is some characters, then a dot, then your domain so, if you are the owner of cool-domain.com, you can have nice.cool-domain.com, batman.cool-domain.com, etc All you want. In your example, that zoomshare company owns the zoomshare.com domain, therefore, they can give the people, free subdomains like somename.zoomshare.com, but, they CAN'T give you somename.com (or .net, .org, etc) you HAVE to pay for a name like somename.com ...however, small countries sometimes make business with their country domains that is the case of dot.tk you can get a domain like somename.tk for free, and make it point to your freehosting address so, if you got a nice-site.zoomshare.com, then you can get a nice-site.tk for free and make it point to your nice-site.zoomshare.com (if you can even use a dns and use it with free hosting! I have done it, and the results are great) but if you really need a domain .com, then don't be cheap and pay about 30$ per year.

There are no free domain (.com, .org . net) service providers in the industry. However, some of the web hosting service providers provides free domain name with some of their package. If you want free domain name you will have the only option of WWW.(insertname).zoomshare.com. You may chose to register a paid (cheap) domains by going here http://x.co/ZhKg Please check who provide free domain name with their hosting package bestinwebhost.com/comparsion.html .

You can't get free domain names (like www.mysite.net) but they are reasonably inexpensive ($10 a year or less). Your ISP might provide free hosting, if not you can get hosting cheap or free if you don't mind advertising. Check out GoDaddy.
