Can I sue my supermarket without getting my employment teminated?

• Correcting a parking offender for not stopping within the obligatory white delineatory indicators she threatened to strike me and I invited her so do do as it would be recorded on CCTV so she did but it wasn't switched as repairs were being afford to the system at the precise moment of the blow to my eye/ear which has now gone down and therefore impossible to call as a witness. I do have part of her registration number should she re-appear underground.
