Need help with my locked car radio.

Please... please.. help... I have a problem with my 95 BMW 525i. I think its locked..... :-(?

  • Today i came home from work. after i parked the car, i turned it off but when i did, the radio was still on and all the lights on the panel.... i think its locked because it wont start at all.... how can i unluck it....... please help... please... i need my car for work...

The other answers? So not true... Place the shift in N and try to start it. Then try in D and try again. If the results are the same, the car does not start, but everything else works fine, it's probably the switch that detects the position of the transmission.

Your ignition switch is gone. You have to replace it. Those Bimmers have that problem. You have to buy the whole set, meaning the door locks too because it is programmed and the new one will not work with the old door locks.

i have a 93 bmw 325 i and sometimes is the stearing wheel locks up and up have to shimmy it around before you can actually turn the key over to start it. I'm not sure while all the lights and gauges would still be on though. sorry

Disconnect your battery for a few minutes to reset it. Be sure you have your radio code 1st. Its a car alarm issue.
