How can I add an auxillary input to my 02 BMW 325i?

BMW 02 325i Headlights?

• I have a BMW 02 325i and i was wondering why are the headlights always on? i have the knob turned to the off position but its still on i asked the dealer and he said itll turn off on its own but from what ive seen so far i havent seen them turn off help me out??

  The headlights are always on when the engine runs because your car has daytime running lamps (DRLs). They allow you to see better in adverse conditions when you might not think to turn the lamps on, but they are primarily there to make your car more visible to other drivers, in the interest of safety. The function which keeps the headlights on when you park your car is simply a timer which is intended for you to have some illumination as you walk away from the car when parking at night, again in the interest of personal safety. In some cars, this feature can be defeated by pressing the lock button on your key fob twice, although I'm not sure if this is true for BMWs. If your lights are still on more than a minute after you shut the car off (or all night long), then there might be a problem with the timer.
