Bmw snow tires? should i get 4 snow tires or 2 rear snow tires?

I live in manitoba and probably get a little more snow but in a rear wheel drive vehicle you'd get better acceleration but u still steer with your front wheels and brake with all 4 so you should definitely get all 4 if you do get a lot of snow and your winter lasts 3 months or more of icy conditions get all 4 plus i'm not sure but have all 4 the same type is generally a better idea.

According to the Tirerack.com (and most auto magazines) whether your car is front, rear or all wheel drive, you should ALWAYS put a full set of snow tires. Mixing tires can cause handling problems when the snow you drove on one day is now melted or plowed the next day and the pavement is dry.

My old MB (300SE) was a monster in the snow with 4 snow tires. My buddy had a 190 and refused to put snow tires on his, he was going off the road all the time. I know its not cheep but put 4 on, you will be glad you did.
