Best car to use for a drag race?

RACE HELP!!! Which car do you think would win a drag race, an 06 mustang v6 or an 03 bmw 528i??

    the BMW is only 190hp and the Mustang is 210hp, if both cars are stock the Mustang would be slightly faster, since its made out of cheap plastic(lighter). But if taken to the track I bet all my money on the BMW.....

why would you want to race something that wasn't mean't to race?... both of these cars are good transportation, neither was made for competition.... grow up.

I would hope the BMW, especially since they paid more. People would grow old watching a Drag race between the two of these cars.

Well. In this particular case (assuming both cars are stock and well maintained) it will depend on the driver especially if BMW had a 5 speed manual gearbox. Getrag manual they used for 5 series has very well selected gear ratios to compliment the lack of power of the smaller straight six engine. The straight six had VANOS which also allows for variable valve timing for better torque maangement comparing to mustang. With this setup i will bet anything I would outdrag the mustang in the bimmer. I would have to manage the throttle carefully, you cant just put the pedal to the metal when you drag cars with similar specs.
