How To Check Esn Verizon Online?

What do I do with this Verizon iPhone 4?

I bought a Verizon iphone 4, 16gb off of craigslist from some kid. I took the time to check it out completely, it has a good ESN/MEID, no scratches front or back, great battery life...it is pretty much brand new. It turns out when i bought the phone, nothing is wrong with it....except one problem. It STILL has SERVICE! I'm confused as to what to do with this iphone because it is verizon, it has service, and i have absolutely no contact information about the seller. He has been texting/calling me from the same iphone he sold me. I'm scared that if he terminates his contract, or whatever, this phone i have will be blacklisted therefore not having a clean MEID. Should I call verizon and tell them? Should i find out who he is through Verizon and contact him? Please help me out here, Thank you very ,much in advance.

Take it into Verizon, explain that you bought the phone from someone and need to get it transferred to your plan... they will be able to help you out. :)
