How can I fix white pixels?

2000 Audi A6 with Dead Pixels In Dash. How Do I Fix/Replace?

  • Is there anyway to repair the dead pixels on a 2000 Audi A6. The pixels on the dash are really bad and I can't use the navigation feature at all because of this. How do I repair it? What parts do I need to replace?

  • Answer:

You would have to replace the screen. I believe they had a recall on this for the A4. You may want to call the nearest dealer and see if its for the A6 too.

I have a 2001 A6 and have the same problem. I also have small glitches with the lights and radio. Sometimes the radio just turns off and on quickly. I have problems now with the windows becoming "lethargic" when I roll them up. I haven't had it checked yet but have a feeling it is some kind of electrical issue and not just the pixels on the screen.

Ah the dead pixel problem, The dealer will charge you almost as much as your car is worth to fix this. Your best bet is to find one used with no dead pixels and swap them out. Very common problem with Audis.
