How do I transfer music from my ipod to my pc?

How can I transfer music from my ipod touch to my PC?

First off, when I plug my ipod touch into the computer it is read as a digital camera, and will only show me all my pictures and videos. I have music that I got from CDs on my old ipod and I don't have the CDs any more. Then, I have Windows 7 and when I try to view the hidden files and get to my music, there just isn't an option to do so. I'd really rather not download any extra software but if I really have to I will. Any ideas?

Go to apple.com and download the new iTunes for Windows seven then when you hook the iPod up to the computer it will read as a music file and automatically open iTunes then you can share music and transfer music to your library of your computer it'll automatically sync with your computer putting all your songs in your iPod to your pc
