How to use functions in Jmeter?

How to use an Audi A8? What are some cool functions?

  • Ok I just picked up Audi A8 today, I only bothered to learn about how to adjust mirrors, seats and stuff. But it seems there are a lot of functions in this car. Theres something on the left side of the steering wheel with set speed +/- or distance +/-, what is that? Is there a site where you can learn about these functions and other functions of the car. :P

  • Answer:

Include the year and you can get more specific info. The stalk on the left with the speed +/- and distance is for the cruise control. I'm guessing you have adaptive cruise control which means you can set a speed but you can set what distance you want the car to keep between it and the vehicle in front of it. The car will slow down when the one in front of it does and then pick up speed to the preset when there are no obstacles in front of it. If it's an 04 or newer, you can also adjust the height of the suspension depending on driving conditions. You can go into the 'Car' menu on the MMI and play around with the settings. There are so many things you can adjust and fiddle with in the A8. The best way to learn is to play around with the buttons and see what each one does. The A8 is a really great car. Have fun with it

Haven't you a manual to learn how to use it?

That's a really nice ride you've got. The options fitted in your car would depend on how you specified it. Do refer to the specifications list which the Audi dealer probably gave you when you purchased the car. A cool standard feature available on the A8 is: - LED ambient lighting package. You can adjust the colour and brightness of the lighting in your car (there's orange, red and white). You can adjust this by the central screen called the 'MMI'. as well as MMI touch which recognises hand writings. The A8 also comes with 'pre-sense', which tightens up the seat belts, winds up the windows and flashes the hazard lights to warn others and prepare you for a crash when the car senses that a crash is imminent. Optional extras include night vision, adaptive cruise control (which automatically follows the car in front of you). I think your car comes with adaptive cruise control. You mentioned something of the left side of the steering wheel with a speed and distance setting. All I can say to you is please read the manual! I know its exhaustive (the A8 comes with a chuck load of features) but it's really really helpful! Not reading the manual is like trying to attend class without a textbook! Audi manuals are beautifully designed, don't worry. Meanwhile, you can check out http://www.audi.co.uk/new-cars/a8/a8/specifications.html or the site of your country to look at the specifications available. Good luck, and enjoy your new ride.
