Does Audi R8 (Any Model) come with Automatic Transmission?

  • The question says it all. I am renting an apartment right now, was looking for a house but instead want to buy an amazing car lol :P. I dont know if R8 comes with Automatic Transmission? I live in London Ontario do they have them here? If not I can manage with Manual. But I really dont like driving manual transmission, its too annoying :P (I know how to drive a manual, but not experienced). So does R8 comes with automatic transmission? Bc on their site they only mentioned Manual.

    The R8 comes with either the standard manual transmission or a sequential, a semi-automatic one referred to as the R-tronic transmission. The R-tronic tranny gives you the option of driving in full automatic mode, or shift manually but without the need of a clutch. It's the same kind of transmission used in the Lamborghini Gallardo. Hope this helps The best way to find out what the availability is in your area, would be to contact an Audi dealer near you.

The audi r8 has an option for a manual transmission or a R-tronic one. R- tronic allows for you to choose automatic or a manual transmission but no clutch. the R-tronic costs about $9000 more than the regular manual transmission though. But if you dont like manual and obviously you have the money to get the r-tronic option, get it. Good luck on your car because it is one my favorite ones!

Hi. I'm not sure this'll help . I'm from Toronto Ontario but I think it's the same principle. You'll have to ask the local dealer if it comes with or without. If without's the default one, then they'll have to import a special one from Audi Supercars(Audi Supersportwagen) in Germany. Hope it helped)

It comes with a semi-automatic, but it costs much more. They do sell them in Canada.
