If i connect my ipod touch to my laptop which has internet, will i get internet on my ipod touch?

I'm trying to find out if i connect my ipod touch can get internet by simply plugging it into my laptop. i cant get the wifi to work in my house so would my ipod touch's internet work if i plugged it into my laptop?

i dont think so. why dont you try? try typing these into your browser: 198.168.1.1 198.168.0.1 etc. try switching around the last two number in any order of 0,2, or 1 1.0,2.1,1.2 once you have found it, look for the WEP key. then go into settings, tap on wifi, choose your wifi name, and type in the WEP key.

No sorry that dosent work, when i first got my ipod i tried doing that, but it didnt work so i just conncted it to the wifi. Hope i helped! xx
