Why are used honda civics more expensive than used acura integras?

Supply and demand. For whatever reason, people are willing to pay more money for a Honda Civic, so they cost more.

people just want a great reliable and strong commuter car. normally i'd say that if people were to get integras they'd usually get them just for the b18 motors or the fashion. but now the new civic si have the k20 motor and it's a lot more faster than the integras. however i think the rsx 2005 type s is still faster than the civic si. Demand is definitely a factor, plus how the civic was marketed was a lot better than their other cars were

The number one most modified car is the Acura Integra. When people do modifications and try to sell it, they need to sell it for a cheaper price. Adding a Turbo Kit to a car and then selling it does not increase the value, it decreases it. So most Integra's have something done to it. Also, sinc it is an Acura, which is a premium brand, the insurance and maintenance cost is higher, so no one wants to buy a more expensive Acura Integra that is the same as a Civic.

i dont know where you are but around here... and everywhere else iv been the teg is always more expensive. a 94 civic is usually in the 2500 range and a 94 teg is usually in the 3k range. depending on model and condition of course. you cant compare a civic Si price to an integra ls.. it'd have to be an Si vs a gsr or a dx vs a ls.

i agree cause most people dont know acura is honda. in japan its not an acura integra or rsx its honda integra. and hondas are more common everyone whos getting into racing or modifying a car or getting a first car they all think honda because they know they are economical and lets face it. some civics just look better than some integras. theres only one integra id buy but theres quite a few civics id get. but thats just a matter of opinion
