What is K- series engine?

How many miles can I get K series engine RSX-S?

  • I have 156,000 on my RSX-S and she stills runs like brand friggin new. My wifes 1997 crv has 238,000 miles on the B series. I'm wondering how many miles is the most anyone has ever seen on a K series engine? I probably only going to own it to about 250,000 miles but I may keep it longer. Its run only mobil-1 full synthetic since 33,000 miles. I'd do amsoil but its too expensice.

    RSX's don't have timing belts, they have timing chains. i love my RSX-s i'm going to keep it forever, but when it gets high miles just make sure your using high mileage oil, maybe even a thicker oil. if you don't beat on it they'll last for a very long time! theres someone on clubRSX who has his at like 250k, highest i've seen.

i've seen K20's go over 350k without needing serious attention. as long as you don't abuse it and keep up on the maintenance(especially the timing belt), it can last forever.
