Is the acura rsx a cheap car to insure?
-
Answer:
ok i have a 2003 acura rsx, base model, silver, full coverage, its costing me close to 275 a month and im 20 with a clean record, just to give you an idea. This is not a cheap car to insure by any means. But to correct the other answer, its not considered a sports car, its considered a coupe, but because its acura and has a high theft, theyre not cheap. My full premium is costing me 3000+ a year, its actually more then my monthly car payments, if your only 16 i seriously suggest avoid buying this car, its not worth the money, not to mention your still pretty young, this is not a car you want to total or try and modify and **** up horribly since the K series motor is still fairly new and not cheap to repair or replace also to the person who posted after me, they stopped selling the RSX because the civic was cheaper to manufacture, all that happened was the 07 civic SI took the place since the RSX was originally intended for young men aiming at performance cars, everything about the motor is designed for tuning

sorry man! Like everyone who answer your question... it wont be cheap on you since you're under 25! Why do you think they stop making the RSX? No one wants to buy it cause it cost to much! The name brand is Base on Luxury! It's a sports car! AND!!! The insurance on kids are way to high! Look at me with a 96 ACURA Integra... I pay at least $200 a month! And Im only 20! Just stick with the Integra! There much lighter and if you put a RSX engine in it, it's way faster then the RSX! :)

no..it's considered a 'sports' car and you're under 25. Males under the age of 25 have the highest rates. Compound that with a 'sports' car and you have H I G H rates.

At 16 you can get any car insurance is still higher then normal if you have full coverage or not. At 19 I drive a 05 Rsx for the first year i payed 2000 a year for full coverage, that includes all the stuff you need. At 22 years old with a good driving record and good grades (good grades in school lowers insurance cost aka good student discount) my insurance lowered to 800 dollars a year with better coverage then what i use to have. So i dont think its the car that cost a lot to insure, its the age of the driver, driving record.

It is the opposite. Many teenagers have it and crash ratings for it are high. So many people crash it so insurance is higher on that car. Scion tC is the most expensive car to insure for teenagers. Even a Porsche Boxster would be cheaper to insure than Scion tC and Acura RSX and Nissan Sentra and Subaru Impreza and all those cars.

Any Acura is going to be expensive... and any insurance is going to be expensive at your age. Down grade kid..
