How can I burnout in a fwd TL while the car is still? I tried putting the e-brake on but the car still went?

i have an acura tl with front wheel drive and i looked up how to burnout and it said something about how the e-brake will lock the back tires and the front tires will go and burnout. i tried to do that but the car just drove with the e-brake on. how else can i burnout? i want the car to be standing still though and the tires to smoke because i know i can just burnout if i floor the gas from a stop. please dont tell me that i shouldnt do it or itll mess up my car because i dont plan on doing it on a regular basis i just want to make a video of me doing it once for a little bit and thats it. thanks.

I couldn't stop laughing when I read this...why did you think the ebrake will allow you to do a burnout while the car is still? Hehe, alright...this is how you do it. 1. What you're trying to do with the ebrake is either a handbrake turn, or a j-turn. The handbrake turn allows you to do a 180 very quickly in a span of 2 lanes. Accelerate to 50 km/h. VERY QUICKLY turn the steering wheel to the left; a SPLIT second after you do this, yank your handbrake...your rear wheels will lock causing you do to a 180. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY no way to screw this up, provided you go 50 km/h, turn and yank the handbrake. Do it first on an open parking lot. The J-turn is similar to the handbrake turn; imagine a drift, but using fwd. Similar to the handbrake turn, but you're doing 70 km/h+, turn the steering wheel fast...but not as agressive as with a handbrake turn; and very quickly pull up the handbrake, and VERY quickly pull it back down...if you hold it too long, your J-turn becomes a handbrake turn...very embarrashing. 2. Donuts with a fwd car. Go to a open parking lot. Put your car in REVERSE. One foot on the brake, the other on the gas. The quickly release the brake. Instant donut :) Have fun, be sure to do it in an open space with no traffic.

most importantly take off the VSA

ok yes the e brake will only lock up only the rear tires, but because of the engine being in the front the front tires get too much traction, so try putting the ebrake on and give it a friendly ammount of gas, this will not allow the wheels to grab under the weight of the engine

put the brake on and floor it

Get your handbrake adjusted.

First of all handbrake has NOTHING to do with this. So ignore the handbrake altogether. Depends what transmission you have. If it's an automatic then find a hill (not necessary but helps a lot), drop buckets of water on it to get it wet. Then place the front wheels on the wettest spot with the car facing uphill (provided of course you are on a hill) and then.........floor it. If it's a manual transmission (2004+). I really want to say don't do it but anyway here is how it goes. Declutch, start revving to around 5500rpm and slowly release the clutch. You will have to burn the clutch as you slowly drop it - basically multiplying the engine's power through the clutch. Of course a wet surface will help. Keep releasing the clutch. Remember to have someone outside watching so he/she can tell you that you are burning rubber instead of the clutch.

here's what you need to do. buy slicks or a soft compound tire. spray them with water. rip. the e- brake put the car in First or secound if it is a stick, (if it's an auto its impossable to do a burn out). while pressing the cutch in, rev to about 4000 rpm. then dump the clutch and watch the fun begin

the way burnouts are easily achieved in any car is with a little soapy water under the tires, if you watch burnout shows, some of the biggest burnouts start that way. Your tires will slip loose right away, hit top sped/rev limiter and not catch traction for a while. Make sure traction control is off if equiped

Mark M. is right...nothing you do will matter if you don't turn off the VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) button, located at the bottom left of your dash. Turning it off will cause a yellow triangular 'information' light to illuminate on your instrument console. When VSA is engaged, it will prevent wheel spin. It is safest to keep VSA on during normal driving.
