GRE Pattern changing?

Looking for a video of a colour-changing flatfish placed on a chessboard - it matched the pattern.?

  • I've found many references to this on the Web, but not the original source video. The fish was a flatfish - may have been a plaice, flounder or dab - and researchers put a chessboard in its tank. These fish can colour-change quite impressively anyway, but when on the chessboard the fish actually matched the chequer pattern; OK the lines could have been straighter but it was very impressive!

  • Answer:

There are many types of fish you could be talking about. Who knows-it might be something else entirely! It sounds astounding, though.
