What are some reasons why animals being used for scientific research should be wrong?

None, I think they should. it is either animals, or humans. We are the smartest creature. And animals are on the lower totem pole. They are expendable, we are not. we build, animals do not. We create commerce, animals do not.

Generally, animals will be wrong more often than humans due to our larger brains. Our larger brains allow humans to figure out more complicated things, like nuclear power. Most animals do not us language to communicate either, so they can't even tell each other what they have figured out. So most animals, on top of being stupider than humans, are also very ignorant by comparison. The animals used for scientific research are no different in these regards -- therefore they are just as prone to being wrong as any other (non-human) animals.

In regards to animal testing is that in such a process, there is a danger of Objectifying the animal and seeing the animal as merely a means to an end. This approach devalues and degrades the worth of an animal in its own right, in the sense that the animal, like humans, is a being with feelings, reactions and thoughts and capable of the same emotions as humans to a certain extent. This is why in Islam, as we are allowed to eat meat for human sustenance, before killing the animal, a prayer is read to make the meat Halal (permissible) where we first praise God and then ask him to bless the animal, for the animal has given up its life for our benefit. Then the animal is killed.

Animals feel pain, and could experience very slow, painful deaths as a result of experiments.
