What kind of spider would mummify some one?
-
Like a friend was telling me about this spider I am not sure what it's called that if it was human size that it would wrap a human in it's web and if you opened the web, the flesh is gone and the human would now be a mummy. What kind of spider would be able to pull it off if it was human size and if neither what spider would be the closest of doing it and why? Ten points...... It's nick name is the mummifying spider.

Answer:
Your friend may have been describing scenes from the movie eight legged freaks. Something like this would be pure fantasy. There are no spiders on earth that would prey on,or otherwise attack humans. Spiders are not bloodsuckers, and don't have any reason to bite humans other than in defense.
