Can animals tell if another is albino?

• Can other animals tell if another animal is albino? can they see or tell the difference? For example i saw a picture of a mother bear taking care of her albino child can she tell? or dies she think her cub is ill or something?

  Apparently some can and some can't. Albino penguins are rare because they are picked on by other penguins. Yet an albino gorilla known as snowflake had no trouble becoming a silverback and raised a family before dying of skin cancer. It probably depends largely on whether mate recognition depends more on color pattern or on other cues such as phermones or behavior. Butterflies, for example, identify their own species based on the color pattern of their wings, so an albino may not be recognized, but snakes and salamanders rely more on species specific phermones to recognize individuals of the opposite sex and also individuals of their own species, so they may not notice any difference.
