A "veterinary technologist" is someone with a bachelors degree in veterinary technology. However, in most states a veterinary technologist will still have the title of registered, licensed or certified veterinary technician because that is the legally recognized title. There is currently only one state that legally recognizes the difference in education between a veterinary technician and veterinary technologist.
