Are common house centipedes dangerous?

Do house centipedes live in groups?!?

• Ok idk if this was a HOUSE CENTIPEDE because I wasn't wearing my glasses but it was small so I suspect it may have been a juvenile IDK. Only once in the past have I seen a huge adult house centipede which I'm POSITIVE it was that. Anyway I was just sitting on my couch with laptop and this fricken centipede walks on the floor and I screamed. I ran to get a tissue and tried to slap it but I got scared and missed and it crawled under the sofa. i brought laptop to other side of rom and messaged my friend and like 2 minutes after i first attempted to kill it i saw it again ALL THE WAY ON THE OTHER SIDE not like crawling out from under the couch but like it must've gone AROUND the room so I couldn't see it crawl out. At that point i start hyperventilating and when my anger reached its peak, I violently thrashed out at it with my foot (only wearing a sock) and smushed it straight on perfect and killed it. It was the first time I ever killed any bug without feeling any remorse or guilt. ok HERES MY QUESTION. COULD IT REALLY HAVE GOTTEN ACROSS THE ROOM THAT FAST I MEAN I KNOW THEY'RE FAST ARTHROPODS BUT LIKE THAT WAS LIKE NO TIME. RIGHT NOW im scared that maybe it was another one or like one of its friends or something and if thats the case, i just might have a stroke and die. this is my first question in a while and i dont normally ask questions with any spelling errors or abbreviations but my body is still shaking with fear. PLEASE SOMEONE LET ME KNOW IF I SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT THERE BEING A FAMILY OF CENTIPEDES LIVING IN MY HOUSE THANK YOU

  It depends--they usually live in soriorites/fraternities because they are very social. Not too common in regular houses
