How should I ask a girl out who I met in a bar last night?

• The reason why I tend to not go to bars to pick up girls is because of the problem that i am now faced with. I met a girl last night out the bar and spend a few hours drinking and talking with her. Long story short we had a good time and she gave me her number. My problem is that I don't know how to call her and ask her out. "Hey, this is the sloppy drunk you got **** faced with the other night"? Normally I meet girls at the gym or through work so I already have something in common with them and therefore know how to start a conversation. But last night I really don't remember much about the conversation I had with this girl because I was drunk. All i remember is that I did have a good time and she was cute. What to do?

  It sounds to me that you would actually have something kind of funny to talk about...if you really spent several HOURS talking to her, then she clearly was having a good time. I don't know of a single girl who would spend hours talking to a guy at a bar if she wasn't having a good time. And she wouldn't have given you her number if she didn't want you to call her. With that being said, call her. Start out with "Hi, this is (your name here) - I met you a couple nights ago at (insert bar name here). I had a great time talking to you, and would love to take you out to dinner and get to know you better. Interested?" If she says yes, then you can laugh about being drunk and share funny stories about not remembering exactly what was said that night. The ice has been broken, and the atmosphere should be relaxed so you can get to know each other on a sober basis.
