How do you tell someone you are not in love with them?

How do you tell someone you love that your...............?

  • how do you tell someone you love that your no longer facebook friends and havent been in 4months :o,. i had unfriended a guy that i love on facebook out of spite because i thought he was secretly seeing one of his facebook friends... So whenever we havent seen each otherin awhile he goes on facebook to look at my pictures because he misses me but i deactivated my account a couple months ago, an every once in awhile he ask how come i deactivated my account? i just say oh im bored with facebook, in all reality i am sort of done with facebook but every once in awhile i reactivate my account. a week ago we were on the phone and at the same time we were on facebook and he asked was my facebook name the same and i said yes, and he said i can't find you :o an i said i don't know why, he said it must not be available yet since you reactivated it. Anyway i dont want to ruin what we have by saying i deleted him as a friend on facebook because i thought he was seeing a facebook friend. i don't think it should be a problem because we were friends before facebook anyway.. but what do ya think? should i tell him or should just keep quiet and go with the flow????

  • Answer:

First of all, re-add him on Facebook.I wouldn't tell him why you actually deleted him, just tell him that it was an accident. Then, let him know that you're bored with Facebook and that's why you've deactivated your account. You could also just leave your account activated, but only sign in once in awhile, rather than continually activating/deactivating your account. Next, you should seriously think about your relationship with this guy. If you're just friends, deleting him on Facebook just because you suspect he's seeing someone else is pretty lame. In that case, you might want to approach him and tell him about your feelings and go from there. If he doesn't share your romantic feelings, you'll either have to A) end your friendship, go no contact and move on; or B) take a break until you're sure you can see him as JUST a friend and nothing else. Waiting and hoping he'll change his mind is absolutely the most painful thing, and I don't suggest it at all. But, if he does share your feelings- congrats! Now you can try to move the friendship towards a serious relationship. If you two are already dating, then you DO have reason to be upset if you think he's secretly seeing another friend. But deleting him from Facebook is still the wrong thing to do. The mature action would be to approach him about it and find out more before making assumptions. If he *IS* dating someone behind your back, dump him and find someone who'll treat you as well as you deserve. If your suspicions were totally unfounded, you might want to work on gaining trust and losing your insecurity :) And for the last scenario: If this guy is your EX, you need to move on, girl. Time is much to precious to waste waiting for and loving someone who won't give the same back to you. If he's not dating you, then it's time to leave him behind and move on. Staying friends during this will only make the process impossible, you'll have to cut contact for awhile (a month at least) in order to fully move on. Only once you've lost those romantic feelings can you again be good friends with an ex. Otherwise, you'll always be hoping for more and reading too much into his words and gestures. If you try to just be friends right now, you're setting yourself up for ALOT of torture and heartbreak, trust me. Best of luck! :)
