What Is The Website Of NYSC In Nigeria?

Good informational website on travelling to Nigeria..?

  • I need information or good travel website that has pictures, suggested places to visit in Nigeria. infor, places to visit and NOT to visit, good hotel picks, sights...etc

  • Answer:

idk what websites to give you but i have been to Nigeria (since im Nigerian lol0 I suggest you visit Abuja, which is where my family and i went for 2 days after staying w/ our relatives COmpared to the rest of Nigeria, Abuja is very clean and modern; they have everything from malls, to the Hilton Hotel ( which is VERY nice) Some things to look out for include: Scammers: we encountered some in Lagos, but luckily we caught on to their games Crazy drivers: Most of the roads in Nigeria are horrible, but Abuja has nice roads; however, most Nigerians can't keep to their lane, which may scare you. I suggest you find a driver there to help you out because if you think people in America can't drive, wait till you see Nigerian drivers lol DONT go to Lagos!!!: There are some nice spots in Lagos but however, when we stayed there for 2 days, i got massacred by mosquitos and plus the environment there in general is just dirty and full of scammers and corrupt policemen But hopefully by visiting Abuja, you can see that although people in Nigeria do suffer from poverty, there are some REALLY nice places and not ALL of Nigeria is like the safaris you see on TV

try heartofafrica.com, but not everything works there, maybe it will... here's a list of different attractions, also a site where you can get additional information; http://www.nigeria.gov.ng/NR/exeres/96FB4996-D104-4C64-ACCB-B2761298BD01.htm You can also go to the individual states websites, just search for them on yahoo.com, for example imostate.gov.ng and look at "tourism in Imo state" to the bottom left. You can also check out http://www.tinapa.com.ng/portal/# Not everything in Nigeria is on the net yet with pictures etc. Everything depends on your personal taste and desires, wheter you're looking for luxury or adventure, but personally I would say Abuja is a nice and safe city to visit. Lagos is huge and has some exceptionally beautiful areas but it is hugely overpopulated and has broken down infrastructure in many areas, including a lot of crime, in short I would say its loud, busy and messy. Looking for hotels, depends if you're looking for really luxurious and extravagant or more modest. Sheraton Towers in Abuja is beautiful and nice, good quality and somewhat luxurious but still modest which Is what I personally like. I know that they also have Nicon Hilton hotel there, but thats too much for me. Le Meridien is also really nice. If not, you can always ask the locals for advice, they will be eager to help you but make sure they don't take too much paid ;-) In the east I wouldnt recommend staying in Onitsha, but Owerri is beautiful. Onitsha is also very loud and busy, definitely a fun experience, but not a very relaxing place. Tinapa is a place you should also check out. Right outside of Abuja there is also a nice big zoo, and a hidden artmarket, but I don't know if that's still there. You should find yourself a good local guide that knows where these places are, not every one does. Nigeria is very beautiful , but they are still trying to establish their tourism. Some places are gorgeous while other places have been destroyed by urbanisation.

Me. You can tell me where you plan to go and I'll let you know, especially if you plan to stay in my city (Lagos city stand up)
