Housing in Arusha Tanzania?

  • I am going to be living in Arusha Tanzania from Sept-December this year to do an internship. I don't know how to find a room/house to rent and would appreciate any help. I usually look at Craig's list, but there is no section on Tanzania. Help!!!

    I don't see any easily found accommodation in Arusha that would offer you security and be centrally situated for your needs. I would try and negotiate with one of the local hotels for a discounted price for your stay. One of them might be able to point you in the right direction? The Arusha hotel might be a starting point but their web site is not up and running properly yet. http://www.newarushahotels.com/ You can get the phone no. and postal address for them off it if required. Sorry I cannot help you more.

just try to get in touch with some of the hostels ,in there as for rents of couple month like your needs can be suites at hostels like YWCA,a christian hostels,but for a hotel will be a bit expensives,or moreover just check in with the site www.naomba.com

The Arusha Backpackers hotel houses a lot of long stay guests, its right downtown in central Arusha and there are a lot of rooms. I only stayed there like a week and it was like $5 US per night so a long stay rent there should not be too expensive
