How do you plan a trip to Africa?

Help me help others..plan a trip to africa?

• im a senior in high school and i plan to go to college, but i really want to go to africa and help out in any way that i can, only thing is i need help trying to plan..i can not afford to pay out of pocket to make this trip and i dont no any people that will be able to help me.. helping people is my passion and i feel like it is what i was born to do... i would like to go to africa at least for a little while and see if its where i want to be what groups should i look into that are short term and that will fund or help me fund my trip,, please help!

  I think that its great that you are thinking about going to Africa at a young age. You should defiantly get as much research as you can before you make a decision. There are many websites offering information on volunteer, long and short term. I will post a couple below. Most good volunteer services have a fee (airfare, operational cost, etc.) When you go to college, you could look into some volunteer programs with your college or college related missions to Africa. Also, there is the possibility of being an exchange student for a semester. Some exchange programs offer small aid worker positions in addition to your studies. Finally, the Peace Corps has post throughout Africa and around the world for people just like you.
