What vaccinations are essential to get before you travel to Ethiopia?

  • I am confused because I went to Malaysia recently with some of my family and the only vaccinations we got before we went were Hepatitis A and Swine Flu. I want to go to Ethiopia now and I read on the travel health websites that you need to get a whole range of vaccinations before you go to Ethiopia... at first I thought I should definitely get them all before I go but then then I looked at the reccomended vaccinations for travelling to Malaysia and I realised that I didn't even have many of the reccomended vaccinations that are listed on this website before I went to Malaysia and I came back perfectly fine... That got me wondering what vaccinations I DEFINITELY need to get before going to Ethiopia and what ones could I not worry about (if any)? I especially want to know about the ravys vaccine because if I need to get this one, then I would have to postpone the trip by a month as they have to give you three ravys shots over a period of a month before you leave...
