Is the shopping in fiji any good?

Since the decline of their currency, would Zimbabwe make for some good shopping?

  • My question is: Since they have a $100 million bill, would that make for some good shopping in Zimbabwe? Me and a friend are in the planning stages of a trip to Europe in April. We were there last year studying and we want to go back for a week or so. There's this one particular store, C&A, that we want to go to for some shopping. I suggested that we go to C&A's site to see if there are any stores in Zimbabwe, which there aren't. And I suggested that we go there instead because the devaluation of their currency may make for some good shopping. So, anyone that knows the economic situation more than I do, would this make for some good shopping? Particularly for clothes. I've been keeping up with the news on the country but I'd like to know if shopping would be good with the economic conditions of today. Thanks :-)

    Why go to Zimbabwe? If you are looking for good deals on things, the best place is Thailand. Not only is it cheaper than Zimbabwe right now, but they produce alot more things than Zimbabwe. Plus Travel and Leisure magazine named Bangkok as the best city to visit this year.

I might be , IF they had anything in their stores. There is nothing there , literally. Shops are empty , stores like CNA( not C&A) are closed, there is no fuel so supplies dont' get there. Zimbabweans rely on the "Black market" for most of their supplies, if they can afford it. Goods are mostly transported over the border from South Africa, Botswana, and Mozambique. If you are wanting a good shopping place , Zimbabwe is NOT the place.
