Where's the best place in Africa to take a safari?

I'm thinking about taking a safari in the next year or so, and I never realized there were so many options. I'll have limited time, 10 - 12 days, and have no idea where to begin except here.

Kenya, Tanzania or South Africa. The Serengeti National Park is in both Kenya and Tanzania and is very near NgoroNgoro Crater which is home to an abundance of wild life. Nairobi will probably be less expensive to get to than Dar Es Salaam, Jo'Burg or any SA destination.
