What are the best places to visit in Oman, Dubai and Jordan and is it ok by car?

    The best place in the Jordan for me was "Petra." If you have seen "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" then the temple you see in it is one of those you actually get to see. Although it isn't directly accessible from the road. You hire mules to travel round the winding route through the mountain until you emerge to see the temple suddenly. It's about 3 hours inland from Aqaba, which is a holiday resort that caters for Europeans (IE. Beer) on holiday there.

Driving is fine in Dubai, lots of 4x4s out there. Oman is similar. Not sure about Jordan though.

Jordan is very nice, there are lots of historic places to see, Petra is a must see, Jerash and the Dead sea. If you like the desert Wadi rum is very nice for camping. Amman the capital is nice , good night life , and there are some good restaurants: Centro, Romero, and the best Arabic food is in Fakhr Aldeen and Huwara restaurants Dubai is very nice too, but nothing old about it, it is a very new city, shopping is great, nice beaches, great food and night life, there are many lovely hotels, my favorite is Dubai Marine hotel, it is really lovely. Visit Ski Dubai, it is a must see and Jumeira souk As for Oman, not much info about it, but heard it is very nice Enjoy

Jordan there is Petra historic place & dead sea good for spa Muscat nice coast line visits to mountains & local market (souq Matrah) better to use taxi they take u every where. Dubai great shopping malls merkatomall, emeraites mall, city center & many more go to jumerah beach & to ski dubai, great food & night life u wont feel bored there, taxis avilable very easy & safe enjoy ur trip good luck.

Oman - I saw the petchem plants and nothing else you should go to Muscat - the capital - amazing coast line on the Indian Ocean - google it up Dubai - Jumirah Beach Hotel - Shopping City go to the wadi in Ras Al Kaymah - Dubai is just for shopping Ras is the best Emirate. for the best fake watches in the world - top floor Hamdan Center Abu Dhabi - stay - Beach Hotel Jordan - Jerash and Petra - worth a visit one of the best things I have ever seen and I have been to 54 countries. Jordan is brilliant. Go on your own with a decent english speaking driver and guide forget the tours. Get the driver from the Hyatt Hotel - if you can afford it stay at the Grand Hyatt Amman (my favourite hotel in the world) - Plenty of night life but also go to the Dead Sea resort in Jordan. It is one of the best places to visit. All ok by car as long as you have a driver in Oman and in Jordan. Don't drive on your own in Jordan.
