A few friends and I are starting to plan a trip from North to South Africa, any suggestions?

We are planning to take two 4x4 vehicles, and drive the entire route. Before anyone jumps in, we know how big this is, that is why we have given ourselves 2 years to plan and fund raise for it, just wondering if anyone has done it or knows of anyone who has. Any comments will be welcomed.

Yes, I have. Start at Egypt, Libya, Chad, Zaire, Angola, South Africa, and turn back through Mozambique, Kenya and again Egypt. Wonderful. It's a big big tour. >
