What should I do if British Airways has lost my luggage?

Why doesn't South African Airways stop the ACSA contractors stealing luggage in SA?

• Why do South African Airways (SAA) allow so much luggage to be stolen at their airports. In three months as many as 8000 bags go missing. And similar numbers of luggage are opened and looked through and luxuxry items stolen. Why stop this for the world cup 2010 by changing their security now? Why haven't they changed the system before? So it is ok if local people get their luggage stolen, but when SA gets an influx of foreign visitors, then we need to stop the stealing temporarily. And then? When the world cup is over. Are we going back to the old system? Does anyone have any inside information on what is happening in South African Airways? Why is the crime so bad? Where is my luggage that was stolen from SoutH African Airways on a LONDON bound flight?

  It's upsetting that you can't put your luggage through without worrying that your possessions will be stolen. I guess they just have the "if we ignore it maybe it will go away" mindset. In the meantime all we can do is wrap our bags in plastic and hope they don't take the whole case.
