Where is the best place for solo Travelling/holiday for 10 days?

  • Hey All, I have 2 weeks before starting a new job - I really want to go away somewhere warm cheap and hassle free! I have very little time to decide on where to go and there are waaaaaaaaaaay too many websites to browse. It will be the first time I travel alone and I dont mind if I lie on the beach in Egypt or back pack around Italy but Im poor from not having a job and will not be able to afford much more than GBP350 all inc. If any one can suggest anywhere theyve been or anything theyve done within similar budget and time frame I would appreciate it XX Cher

    I went to Amsterdam for a week by myself, I met really nice people there and had an amazing time. There's lots to do such as canal trips, shopping in the market and the restaurants and bars are simply amazing! It is a beautiful, clean and amazing place to go. Everyone has to go there once in their life! And the plane tickets are cheapppp, it only takes an hour to get there from the UK.

Dubai is amazing for a vacation. Check out some travel sites and you should be able to find a hotel and things to do there for a reasonable price.

i was going to suggest crete. but that is a TINY budget for 10 days, unless you took a tent.

well south Africa the flight is expensive but when you get their everything is like 5 pounds for a meal that would cost about 50 pound here in the UK and the place is beautiful and not hot to the extreme just nice and warm yet still very sunny

Tunisia. Hammamet. You can go for just under £400 all inclusive. Its not really warm, but the weather's still decent!

Island hopping in Greece is fantastic. You meet loads of people. I have done it twice and had the best time. Get a flight to Athens (easy jet). A bus to Pireaus Port and the world's your oyster. You will get chatting to loads of people on the ferry and like me team up and be able to share accomodation costs. It's perfectly safe and cheap!

nigeria is a good vacation it so amazing and you can easily make friends... you might be thinking nigeria is poor but it not!.. it cool.. i went there last summer =)... it hot there and make sure you wear sun lotion.

why dont you try lebanon you can ski in the mountains or lay on the beach you can find every thing you would like to have in your vacation people their are amazing

Try The Gambia, flight only is pretty cheap and if you are happy with less than 5 star treatment, accomodation is cheap also. Check out the Gambia Experience Website Special offers for flight inc. B & B prices. Eating out is very cheap. Weather hot its in the 80s at the moment. Look for a 2-3 star hotel. Like Cape Point Hotel, or African Village. They will also offer "accomodation on arrival" packages, which are good value for money. I use them to go to Gambia every year, its VERY laid back, but I wouldnt call it hassle free, because everybody will want to be your friend as you walk around the beaches and towns. Latch onto one friend for the 10 days, he/she will show you around at a fraction of the tour trips out. Just make sure you feed them or offer a drink when out with them and give them some money (their family will be relying on them to bring home a wage for his job of looking after you.) have a great time.
