Is Kenya a nice place to live?

Is Africa safe to live in?

  • I know there are no go areas in Africa like the Congo, Rwanda etc, but places like Kenya, The Gambia and South Africa, i dont know much about, i love the thought of living in Africa and one day having children there, but i wouldnt want to go to an area where you have to live behind gates and be nervous of civil war breaking out, im looking for the opinions of people who have actually lived in Africa recently and know the place and so what areas would you recommend, take into account that i am white and so would not blend in. Thanks

  • Answer:

For women and children, South Africa is the safest place. It has better schools and better crime control. Also, there are more white people in South Africa so you won't feel like you are the minority as much as you would in other African countries.

Rwanda is probably one of the safest countries to live in nowadays. Have been to to Tanzania three times and have always felt very safe and it is a very stable country. Benn to Uganda and Kenya and again have always felt perfectly safe but the northern regions of these countries might be a little different. Malawi- again the nicest most helpful people ever As a white person you might be treated differently but the discrimaination is invariably positive.
