What would you recommend me to visit in the Middle East? Which cities and why?

for midle east of course dubai , beirut and cairo.

Dubai, UAE is the first place you should check out, I lived there for 2years and it was the best years of my life. Its very safe(Best Trained Police in the world), Its cheap, a lot of different cultures. Beirut, Lebanon is the second on the list with its amazing history and tourist hot spots and best of all, their friendily people. Cario, Egypt is the 3rd on the list with its great History and hot spots but be careful, there are a lot of theifs.

Depends on what kind of a person you are If you want culture and beautiful nature. Iran is your answer. For old culture great architecture and great people I recommend ISFAHAN, it is like heaven there. North and west of Iran has great wild forests and beautiful nature. East of Iran has warm people and south east, Chrocodiles. People are very warm with tourists in Iran, trust me. But if you want only fun and shopping, and you have a tremendous amount of money. Dubai, but since you are living I guess in Europe or US I don't recommend that, It's nothing new

I personally would consult the State Department for any current travel advisories before traveling in that region.

i advise you to visit Jordan -Petra- its amazing, when you visit it you'll discover why i recommend this. Stay in Amman and see also how much its beautiful, i'm sure you will like it, and don't forget to go to the dead sea and stay in the MOVEN PICK there.

Dubai is an excellent start to the Middle East culture. It is safe, secure and is very accepting of other cultures (due to the large number of oil workers there). Otherwise, despite a recent spate of violence, Egypt is also an excellent place to visit, steeped in history and friendly people. Don't forget the Baksheesh!

Dubai - glitz, glamour, safety anywhere in Oman for safety and nature, without the glitz Iran is actually a great place to travel to as well, very welcoming and friendly (despite media coverage of it...!)
