Do people who live in England who are disabled receive Disability income?

Does anyone receive disability (SSI), but does not qualify for low-income housing?

  • Since I was 17 years old I worked full time - that is over 40 years of my life. Due to a spinal disease I became disabled at age 53 and although I supplement my income by working from home on the computer when I am able to sit, I still can't keep up with the rising cost of living Because of my steady employment over the years I receive disability on the high end which disqualifies me by $75/mo for low income housing programs. Basically, I have been penalized because of my hard earned work record - Now, I have too much income to qualify for low-income housing but not enough to live independently and pay my bills. Any suggestions or encouraging ideas? Thank you to all who respond. I catagorized this question under Gov't & Politics for obvious reasons.
