Can i use a copy of my birth certificate?

  • i lost all my important documents and i am having trouble getting any of these replaced if u know how help me please but a couple of days a go i found a copy of my birth certificate like scanned and copied can i use this to get an id so i can get an official replacement certificate and the rest ? thank you for any of your answers.

You can request....for a small fee....an official copy of your birth certificate from the registrar where you were born.....each state has a little different set up but usually the records are kept at the county seat. A phone call or letter should get things rolling. In order for you to use your birth certificate it must be a copy with a "raised" seal.....an official copy Once get your birth certificate.....or have any other documents that are important.....you can go to the local registrar and have them recorded.....then if later they are destroyed or lost.....you just request a copy from the registrar.....all my Army discharge papers are on file in Fayetteville NC.... I can get official copies anytime I need them

A official copy is usually requires. They can be purchased from the town hall of which you were born. They do postal applications if you have moved city etc check there website.
